Terms of Service

These terms cover two separate things: using this website, and buying a Spectral Engine license. Read together with our Datenschutzerklärung (privacy policy) and Impressum.

1. This website

spectralengineaudio.com is operated by Jan Lukas Wiebe, trading as Spectral Engine Audio (contact details in the Impressum). Content — text, screenshots, audio examples, the Spectral Engine name and logo — belongs to Spectral Engine Audio unless stated otherwise. You're welcome to link to the site or quote it with attribution; don't reproduce it wholesale or use the branding to imply an endorsement that doesn't exist.

The site is provided as-is. We keep it accurate to the best of our ability but don't guarantee it's error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.

2. Buying a license

Checkout is run entirely by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), acting as our Merchant of Record. When you buy a Spectral Engine license, the purchase contract is between you and Paddle, not us — Paddle handles payment, invoicing, VAT/sales tax, and buyer-side support for the transaction itself. Their Buyer Terms govern the sale.

What we're responsible for: generating and delivering your license key once Paddle confirms payment, and supporting you with the plugin itself. See our Refund Policy for how refunds work.

3. License terms

A Spectral Engine license key activates the plugin on any Mac you personally own — no machine limit, no phone-home, no expiry check. Full detail on how licensing and activation work is in the FAQ. We don't revoke keys, including after a refund or chargeback — that trust is deliberate, not an oversight.

4. Changes

We may update these terms as the product or business changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date below; continuing to use the site or a purchased license after a change means you accept the update.
